Transfer your number to Vodafone
If you have become attached to your number, don't worry - Vodafone make the process of transferring it onto your new mobile painless and fast. Simply contact the network your number is currently with and request a 'PAC code', then give this to Vodafone customer services once you have your new phone. To learn more, read our helpful number porting page.
It is important to note that you cannot currently transfer your old number onto Vodafone after connection, so if you want to keep your number you must let us know when ordering.
About Vodafone
On 1 January 1985 Vodafone made the UK's first mobile call, to their head office (which at the time was above a curry shop!). It marked the launch of the mobile industry and transformed global communications. Today Vodafone is the world's leading international mobile telecommunications group with interests in 27 countries across 5 continents, 186.8 million customers and 33 partner networks.
For more than 20 years they've been at the forefront of mobile innovation, consistently chosen as the preferred network of businesses large and small for their reliability, value and top quality customer services. Vodafone Live! Offers the latest handsets to take advantage of the 3G revolution, and their unparalleled worldwide business, combined with the amazing "Passport" deal, means roaming is cheap and easy.
You can read Vodafone's Network Terms and Conditions here.
Vodafone Coverage
Vodafone covers 99.7% of the UK population, so you'll never be out of touch. Their new 3G network is being expanded daily, bringing you the coverage you need to stay connected with Vodafone Live!
If you want to see a detailed map of coverage in the parts of the country that matter to you, please use the 3 Coverage Checker.
Vodafone Call Charges
If you manage to use all the minutes and texts that are included in your contract, call charges will apply. There are also some numbers, such as 0800 and 0845 prefixes, that are not included in your monthly allowance.
To see a full list of these charges, please read our Vodafone call charges factsheet.
Which Tariff Do I Want?
It's not often you get exactly what you want without a single compromise. But what a great feeling when you do!
With Vodafone's Anytime tariffs, you can create a price plan that works for you, adding the things you want and leaving out the things you don't. Depending on the plan you choose, you also get up to 3 free extras so you can add even more of the things you want the most - extra texts, extra minutes or extra entertainment, all without adding anything extra to your bill. To learn more please see the "Full Pricing Information" link, above.

Money-saving Extras
Vodafone have a range of optional extras designed to save you money:
Stop the Clock
Stop the Clock allows you to talk up to 60 minutes but only pay for the first 3. For full details click the "Stop the Clock" tab, above.
Passport
With Vodafone Passport you can use your mobile abroad as often as you like; you just pay a 75p connection fee each time you make a call and, after that, you're charged at your usual home tariff. You can even use any inclusive minutes your have in your bundle!
If you want to take advantage of Vodafone Passport just call 5555 free from your Vodafone phone, before you travel.
Vodafone Stop the Clock!
Some things in life deserve a full-on, take your time, make yourself comfortable sort of phone call. Like how did the date go? Or was that really a penalty?
At times like these, you don't want to be watching the clock, worrying about your mobile bill. And with Vodafone Stop The Clock, you don't have to.
- Talk for up to 60 minutes at evenings and weekends but only pay for 3
- Applies to calls to any UK fixed-line or mobile number
- Available on all 18 month contracts
How much can I use it?
Once you've signed up to Vodafone Stop The Clock, you can make as many calls as you like - every night and every weekend if you want. You can take advantage of Vodafone Stop The Clock between 7pm and 8am weekdays, and all weekend.
How much do the first 3 minutes cost?
They're charged at the standard rate. If you're a pay monthly customer, these will come out of your inclusive minutes.
What if I want to talk for longer than an hour?
If you talk for more than an hour, you'll just pay for the first 3 minutes plus any extra time. This will be taken from your monthly inclusive minutes. Once your hour is up you'll go back to your inclusive minutes or standard rate charges.
What does it cost?
If you choose a tariff on our website that includes "Stop the Clock", then you will only pay the line rental shown for that tariff.
If you want to add Stop the Clock to a different tariff, simply call 08080 125 126 once you have your new mobile and Vodafone will add it to your bill at £5 per month.
